Our Services

Welcome to SRM Group

Individual Health Insurance

We focus on helping business owners who do not qualify for group health insurance, families and individuals who do not have access to health insurance through an employer, those individuals and families that no longer qualify for Medicaid and spouses of Medicare beneficiaries who are not yet Medicare eligible.

What?

Individuals and families are not sure whether to apply for health insurance in the Marketplace or the Open Market. They may have children that are in college out of state and need to address how a proposed plan will work with what the college offers. Some individuals who are currently covered under a spouse who is transitioning to Medicare need an interim solution until they are Medicare eligible.

How?

We initially meet with the individual or family to obtain information such as age, zip code and budget. Then we are able to identify some options. We may also refer them to speak with someone in the Marketplace to determine if that is a better solution for them. In some cases business owners are not aware that with a few minor changes, they may qualify for a small group plan that may open up other options to them that are not available on the Individual Marketplace

roup Health Insurance & Supplemental Benefits

We focus on Business Owners with 2 – 50 employees. These business owners typically wear many hats and try to do the employee health benefit function themselves or have several health benefit consultants helping them in different employee health specialties. This results in a more jagged approach.

We deliver on a cohesive employee health benefits strategy where the products are strategically blended and tailored to each employee’s needs and budget. This strategy comes with a servicing team so the business owner has one point of contact for all their employee health benefits. This allows them to wear one less hat, have a peace of mind that their employee benefits are taken care of so they can focus on what is most important – running their company.

What?

Supplemental Benefits are typically offered to the business owner without consideration for what other health benefits are or are not in place. When core and supplemental benefits are offered together, there is an understanding of where the exposure in core benefits exists. In this way, the most appropriate supplemental benefits can be recommended to minimize that exposure. Without this strategy, the employees may be left with more coverage than they need in certain areas where they are already sufficiently covered, and not enough coverage in areas where they are exposed.

This strategy results in more productivity, loyalty, and retention of employees, thereby increasing employers’ bottom line and results in a more streamlined approach.

How?

We initially meet with the business owner to obtain a census and learn more about the employees ( age, gender, single/family, job functions, number of key employees, income, zip code) about what the employer would like to offer and what will be the premium responsibility of employer/ employee.

We shop the market and generate a comprehensive proposal based on our discussion and with a consideration of the type of business risk. Once the employer selects a proposal, that proposal is implemented and an action plan is generated based on the operation/ schedule of the company.

The exposure in the core plan is identified and supplemental products are selected to minimize that exposure. We present benefits to employees. Then we meet with each one individually to tailor an individual solution to supplement the core plan so that expenses on the back end are minimized.

Our service model allows us to provide a timely response to solve issues for the employer and each employee not only annually at open enrollment but throughout the year.

Medicare Beneficiaries

We focus on all individuals who are eligible to receive Medicare. The Government literature is voluminous and not simple to understand. We review existing employer retiree offers, budget, lifestyle and physician preferences, health history, prescriptions to present options that are compatible for the Medicare beneficiary in a simple to understand format. Sometimes, the employer retiree benefits are a better option.

The Medicare beneficiary can then select the options which meet his/her requirements. We can also help those beneficiaries who are already on Medicare but need to make change.

What?

Medicare can be difficult to understand. Beneficiaries are looking for a consulting approach and not a sale. We offer consumer focused consulting approach to present information in a clear, easy to understand format.

How?

We initially meet with the Medicare Beneficiary to learn more about their situation and gather information. Then we research options and meet again to present the options. Once the Beneficiary has had a chance to review the information, they can make a decision on how they would like to move forward. We service clients when they need issues resolved as well as during open enrollment.
